Arbitration
Through its Santiago Mediation and Arbitration Centre (locally known as CAM Santiago), the Santiago Chamber of Commerce enlists the services of more than seventy arbiters. All members of our CAM are rated as qualified experts in a number of commercial subjects. Every arbitration case is managed by the CAM staff using state-of-the-art computer systems while implementing its suitable procedure regulations and tariff system.
The CAM arbiter, when appointed to handle a specific dispute case, will settle it by means of a verdict that is both enforceable and obligatory for all parties concerned.
Mediation
The CAM Santiago also enlists the services of a qualified team of mediators. All of them have undergone a systematic and sound training in arbitration and mediation techniques along the guidelines provided by Harvard University.
The mediators appointed by our CAM Santiago will assist all parties concerned and will ensure their negotiation process takes place in a suitable environment. This with a view to ensure it helps the process getting to a satisfactory conclusion. The conclusion is usually in the form of a formal agreement enacting that proves beneficial to all parties concerned.
